PC Koblo Quee denied Allegation of Land Grabbing.

The Paramount Chief of Marampa Chiefdom, PC Koblo Quee II, has denied the allegation of Land Grabbing as published in one of the Local Tabloid, referring to the Publication as a misleading information, baseless and untrue, when talking to Standard Time’s Newspaper investigative reporter. He further revealed he has never involved in any act of land Grabbing as alleged, and promised a very strong action, while calling on members of the media profession to fact check and balance their Stories before publication.

He added that Mohamed Tarawalie and Osman Tarawalie since 2022 to 2025, have not been doing justice to the people of Magbekthe over the issues of surface rent the money meant for the land owners of Magbekthe for four years, and as a result of their incompetence to deliver, the land owners of Magbekthe terminated Osman Tarawalie and Mohamed Tarawalie due to their incompetence to perform.

PC Bai Koblo II further revealed that Land owners of Magbekthe, through their regional Stakeholders, decided to change and handed over their administrative setup to  Sheku Tarawalie, which came as a welcome News to the Land Owners.

Sheku Tarawalie started collecting surface rent in April this year (2026) in an event which attracted Chiefdom and Regional Stakeholders and Traditional leaders in a jubilant Mode, as a way of expressing their gratitude in welcoming their new representative.

PC  Koblo Quee II added that Sheku Tarawalie is the only recommended representation for Magbekthe village among over twenty villages collecting surface rent from companies operating within the Marampa Chiefdom.

Pc Bai Koblo II maintained that their removal was as a result of a Local Court action at Court No 1, which gave rights to Sheku Tarawalie to collect Surface Rent on behalf of Magbekthe village.

The people and Land Owners of Magbekthe Village this year celebrated the fairly good share of proceeds of surface rent to Magbekthe village, with an endorsement from the Provincial Security Committee (PROSEC). 99% of Magbekthe village endorsed Sheku Tarawalie to collect the surface rent on their behalf, “So where is the Land Grabbing as alleged”, he explained. He described Mohamed Tarawalie and Osman Tarawalie as deceitful and criminals, aading that they have been collecting surface rent for four years (2022 to 2025) but had never shared the money to the expectations of Magbekthe village land owners.

PC Bai Koblo II stated that ” Since I took over the Mantle of leadership as Paramount Chief over 20 years now, no land taken from any land owners not for even one foot, not to talk about any act of trespass within Marampa chiefdom. The alleged Allegation, as published by one of the local Tabloid is a misleading information, baseless and untrue. The Land Owners of Magbekthe Village deserve better representation for the sake of peace, Transparency and Accountability.
