Many yong people and delegates are supporting Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai (ESA), and this is because of what he has been doing in Kailahun and the difference it’s making for young people and the community.
Over the years, Kailahun has been a steady supporter of the SLPP, and many residents feel it’s time for their contribution to be recognized. Dr. Abdulai has been very active in the district as a private citizen, focusing especially on education, youth development, and sports.
Dr. Abdulai has supported hundreds of students from the district with schooling and college expenses. He recently established the Kailahun Law Students Scholarship at Fourah Bay College to help qualified students from Kailahun pursue legal studies.
He founded Luawa FC and brought the club to Kailahun, which has energized local interest in football and created opportunities for young people. He also set up a football academy that now engages over 100 young players. Several academy players have been brought to Freetown to continue their education and football development, with full hosting and support.
Dr. Abdulai’s involvement has helped draw visitors and supporters to the district, which benefits local businesses such as hotels and market vendors. He’s also begun construction on a new stadium in Kailahun with modern artificial turf — a project that promises long-term benefits for children and athletes in the area.
Many young people in Kailahun have noticed these efforts and feel optimistic about the positive change they’ve seen. They feel compelled to support a son of the soil and are urging others and elders to join the campaign.
