As the All People’s Congress (APC) party prepares for upcoming elections, concerns are being raised about the party’s selection process for leadership positions. Many are questioning why individuals with no notable contributions to the party are being considered for positions, while others who have worked tirelessly for the party and their communities are being overlooked.

One notable example is Lawyer Musa Baretay, a dedicated APC member, who has made significant contributions to his community through his organization, Beretay Movement Development Organization. The organization has launched a campaign to combat the rising use of “kush” and Tramadol among youths in Freetown and beyond.

Lawyer Baretay’s community work speaks for itself. He has built roads, hospitals, and supported community efforts, including paving roads in Tross Cut Street, and constructing toilet facilities in Susan’s Bay. He has also covered medical expenses for residents, demonstrating his commitment to improving the lives of those around him.

Despite his impressive track record, Lawyer Baretay has not been recognized by the party hierarchy, sparking outrage among APC members and the community. Many believe that he is the ideal candidate to represent the central community and bring development to the area.

The community is rallying behind Lawyer Baretay, citing his leadership qualities and dedication to the party and the nation. His name has become synonymous with integrity and leadership, and many are calling for the APC party to consider him for a leadership position.

The question on everyone’s mind is: will the APC party listen to the voice of the people and recognize Lawyer Musa Baretay’s contributions, or will they continue to overlook his leadership qualities?
