Diaspora Unveils Legacy of Leadership

Comrades All,

Sunday, 14th September 2025, marked yet another momentous step in the history of our great party, with the Pre-Launch Zoom Meeting of Legacy of Leadership.

The event was graced by a powerful keynote address that set the tone for what promises to be a groundbreaking initiative. While introducing the Chairman and Keynote Speaker, I proudly noted that the Acting National Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC), Alhaji Dr. Osman Foday Yansaneh, has consistently proven himself to be a shield for the survival and growth of our party.

Dr. Yansaneh, a man who has lived through the APC, spoke with authority and conviction about the legacy of our living legend, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. He outlined the numerous achievements of the APC regime, and stressed the urgent need to properly record and preserve the legacies of the party.

He further reminded all present that the history of the APC has too often been deliberately distorted—primarily because of the longstanding rivalry between the APC and SLPP. In that regard, he urged members, especially those in the diaspora, to remain steadfast in exposing the failures of the current regime, which he described as having failed Sierra Leone hopelessly—even in their so-called strongholds.

The meeting was a resounding success, with vibrant contributions pouring in from comrades across the United States, Canada, and the wider diaspora. Attendees unanimously applauded the initiative, hailing it as a bold step in the right direction. Senior authorities of the APC in North America further enriched the conversation with meaningful contributions that underscored unity and commitment.

Truly, the pre-launch has set the stage for a historic unveiling of Legacy of Leadership in Washington on October 3rd 2025.

Best regards,

Council of Progressives
