‘‘An Unforgivable Act of Self-Sabotage’’
-APC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary Mohamed Pope kamara
As I write this, our nation’s classrooms stand empty and silent. Our children have been shut out of their education, while their teachers are either scouring the streets for those they call betrayers or are at home, paralyzed by fear and an uncertain future. This is the bleak reality of a system in deliberate ruin.
Yet, with staggering shamelessness, the architects of this crisis will soon boast of “free quality education.” This is a cruel fiction, a promise utterly hollowed out by the stark absence of infrastructure, subsidies, learning materials, and the non-payment of salaries.
If a government’s highest calling is to steward the future, then to willfully sabotage it is the ultimate betrayal. The SLPP administration has not merely failed; it has committed a profound and calculated dereliction of duty, scamming a generation out of its potential.
