In a furious cry to prevent the sale and distribution of harmful drugs in the country, Sierra Leoneans have expressed concerns about the latest development of James Kamara, who was apprehended with three and a half plastic bags of kush at the Fallah checkpoint while en route to the South.

Following his apprehension, the matter has gone silent to the public, with no development or recent update from the police. It’s believed that James, a resident of Grassfield, Freetown, has been involved in the production and distribution of kush and other harmful substances for years now.
His arrest was applauded by citizens, who described the move by the police as timely and excellent. While the citizens’ expectations were high for a speedy investigation, it remains unclear whether the suspect has been discharged or is still in police custody.
As a result, citizens have raised concerns about his whereabouts and how the investigation is going. They are now urging the leadership of the SLP to transfer the matter to court, arguing that this will set the pace in averting future traffickers. “We can’t continue to wait anymore, let him be charged to court,” a citizen remarked.
