Police Declared Ejatu Ojullah Bangura & Abibatu Mariama Sesay Wanted

Reports reaching this medium revealed that Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay were women youth leaders that were wanted list in relation to the August 10 riot that resulted to the death of some 35 civilians and 6 police officers. According to the investigation mounted by this medium, was revealed that; Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay were very close to the former President Ernest Bai Koroma from 2012, to 2018, when the now President H.E Maada Bio took over power.
According to investigation Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay were among the angry protesters that stormed the street of Freetown. On August 10th 2022, during the protest that occurred at the Central Business District (CBD). The Civilians were able to overpowered the police officers and in the event live gunshots were fired by the police officers to dispatch the crowds but the protesters repelled them and in the event, the Army officers arrived at the scene to put the situation under control.
On 12th August, the Police spokesman revealed that all those who were at the scene of protest were angry protesters succeeded in overpowering the police officers are part of the protest that led them to be declared wanted and charged them with conspiracy to commit felony and subversion of peace.
According to the police spokesman Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay were later arrested and was in detention for 3 months before they were charged to court with conspiracy to commit felony and subversion of peace.
According to the allegation in court that; Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay they were giving information outside to the human Rights Activists Adabayoh who base in Holland, and base on the evidence gathering from the police and the court they were late sentence to 5 years in prisonment.
It was revealed by family members that they were at the country maximum prison till November 26th 2023, Coup attempt when the country maximum prison was break into and free all prisoners. As a result of that, the security apparatus were searching for Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay and other prisoners going to their houses with threatening remarks being levied against their families.
As the media pressed the police to comment on the disappearances of those angry youths that were declare wanted.
The media officer of the police explained that; a list of wanted persons had been published, but there were others that they are looking for, and if seen, they will be arrested and brought to book.
As we go to press, the whereabouts of Ejatu Ojullah Bangura and Abibatu Mariama Sesay still unknown, and family members are afraid that they might have been killed.
