Chericoco May Lead APC

Sierra Leone will get its seventh general elections country wide, and various political parties will be contesting for the Presidency, among these is the main opposition party, the All People’s Congress party (APC).

This Party is expected to elect or select its candidate, with the likes of Alhaji Chief Samsumana, kelfela Marrah, Omudu Kamara commonly known as Jagaban, Dr. Richard Conteh, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara, and many others, showing up for the flagbearer position. According to democratic principles, choosing a leader should be by the will of the people, unlike the last flagbearer election for the 2018 elections, where Samura Kamara and Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah were selected, as against all the others, to lead the APC into the 2018 and 2023 general elections. Unfortunately, the APC lost to the then opposition Party, SLPP, which is now the ruling party.

Despite all the hiccups faced by the then APC flag bearer, Samura Kamara and Maju Bah, they did not give up and continued to stay with the party. Hon. Chericoco still maintained his loyalty to the party and still has the courage, strength and determination to take the APC party once again to State House come 2028. The APC is slated to hold its convention in 2026 to choose its flagbearer and others who will be contesting in the 2028 elections, and in an exclusive interview with few delegates who will be casting their votes in the 2026 convention, they maintained that this time they only have one choice, Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah, to take the party to state house come 2028, election.

They furthered that the party still has the numbers to clinch State House, and that many people are looking up to the delegates of the APC to choose Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah (Chericoco) as the flagbearer for the 2028 Presidential race, because he is the most popular candidate for now among the
