Over Alleged Exploitation of Underage Girls…

Lawyer Basita Michael Calls for Investigation of Basha Restaurant CEO

Ahmad Basha, a 57-year-old Lebanese businessman and CEO of Basha Restaurant, is facing serious accusations of sexually exploiting three underage girls at his Freetown residence.

The allegations have prompted a strong call for a rigorous and transparent investigation from prominent lawyer Basita Michael.

According to initial reports, Basha allegedly confined three 15-year-old girls for a week, administering hard drugs to them before engaging in sexual acts. Investigators claim he would lock the girls inside his home whenever he left for work.

Lawyer Basita Michael, speaking on her Facebook page, emphasized the critical need for the police to handle the ongoing investigation with the “utmost seriousness, transparency, and timeliness.” Michael highlighted concerns about the justice system’s “troubling reputation for shielding the wealthy and powerful,” urging authorities to prioritize “the best interests of the child as required by our laws and international commitments.”

In an interview with Liberty TV Online, the victims’ families reportedly voiced deep concern and appealed to the First Lady, Inspector General of Police, and other government officials to ensure a thorough and unbiased investigation. Michael underscored this plea, stating “the urgent need to prove no one is above the law.” She concluded her statement by noting, “The public is watching.”
