Today, we celebrate the boundless potential, strength, and dreams of every African child. The Day of the African Child is more than a commemoration , it is a call to action. It reminds us that the future of our continent depends on how we protect, educate, and empower our children today.
As a leader and father, I remain deeply committed to building a Sierra Leone where no child is left behind, where every child, no matter their background, has access to quality education, health care, and opportunity.
Let us invest not only in schools, but in safe environments that nurture creativity, critical thinking, and character. Let us uplift the girl child, support children with disabilities, and break the cycle of poverty through deliberate, people-centered policies.
We must champion policies that uplift our children, protect vulnerable youths, and foster innovation and creativity among the next generation. The African child is a beacon of hope, full of promise, vision, and purpose.
To all the children in Sierra Leone and across Africa: dream boldly, speak confidently, and rise bravely , because you are Africa’s greatest treasure.
