Jagaban Sponsors 11 Muslims for Hajj

On Wednesday, 28th May 2025, in a touching act of national and religious unity, Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as ‘Jagaban’ and a senior APC member, has sponsored eleven Muslims from across Sierra Leone for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Valued at NLe 1,949,000, the sponsorship covers all travel, accommodation, feeding, and logistics. The selected pilgrims represent various communities from all sixteen districts, reflecting Jagaban’s commitment to both inclusivity and spiritual development.

During a special prayer event in Freetown, Jagaban joined the Muslim Ummah in prayers for peace, unity, and Sierra Leone’s development. He underscored the need for interfaith harmony, compassion, and national service, noting that Hajj fosters spiritual renewal and unity.

Mr. Abdul Razak Senjah, team leader of the delegation, praised Jagaban’s generosity, calling it a symbol of his dedication to uplifting ordinary Sierra Leoneans. As the pilgrims prepare for Mecca, they carry with them the hopes and prayers of the nation.
