Kenema came alive with unity and celebration as the APC South Eastern Chair Ladies and other women executive members warmly welcomed Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, fondly known as Jagaban. The event was organized to provide grants aimed at supporting women in business and improving their livelihoods, an initiative that underscores Jagaban’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and Sierra Leone’s future.
Madam Isatu Kamara, Chair Lady of Kenema, praised Jagaban for his steadfast dedication to advancing the role of women in national development. Hon. Florence of Moyamba, described the day as “the happiest day of my life,” celebrating what she called the first-ever organized gathering of South Eastern Chair Ladies, made possible through Jagaban’s inclusive and visionary leadership.
Madam Gladis, Chair Lady of Bonthe, commended Jagaban’s transformative efforts in the district, calling him “a true patriotic APCian.” The Pujehun Chair Lady highlighted the persistent struggles faced by women, stating, “We remain vulnerable to poverty and marginalization, and we need Jagaban’s continued support.”
Madam Diana of Kailahun, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Jagaban’s consistent advocacy for women’s inclusion and empowerment. In a strong endorsement, Madam Ngobeh of Bo, reaffirmed Jagaban’s impact in Bo Town and beyond, urging others to rally behind his leadership and political agenda.
Attendees reflected on Jagaban’s tangible contributions, from the construction of a modern APC office in Kono to infrastructure and livelihood investments in Bonthe and Kambia. “Jagaban is a man of action, not empty promises,” one spokesperson noted.
In his keynote address, Jagaban expressed deep gratitude to the Chair Ladies, applauding their strength and resilience. He presented grants to support their grassroots initiatives and pledged his continued backing of women across the APC and the country. “This is only the beginning of a partnership rooted in trust, unity, and progress,” he affirmed.
