Mohamed Alie Sow Escape Death at the Hands Of Secret Society Members

Reports reaching us from Makeni Bombalie Sabora Chiefdom Sierra Leone, reveal that a young man by the name of Mohamed Alie Sow, narrowly escaped death at the hands of secret society members, who had forcefully conscripted him for initiation into the Porro Society, a much deadly secret society in the northern part of Sierra Leone.

According to our source, Mohammed Alie Sow grown up in Makeni and was able to set up business which he was running and most time help some of his childhood friends that needs help.

But Majority of his friends belong to this powerful secret society cults that they wanted Mohamed Alie Sow to join unknowingly to him according to one of his friend who was willing to talk to this medium further explain that there is a Charity Club that was set up by his friends which they normally go to Mohammed Alie Sow for assistance so they can move to remote places to help the poor people and Mohammed Alie Sow was helping them greatly with Financial assistance to make they give back to society.

On one faithful day According to her wife after Mohammed Alie Sow return home from his shop few of his friends came by to inform him that they are going to a near by village Called Kerafa over 15 Miles away from the headquarters town Makeni that Mohammed Alie Sow have been playing a great role in helping others they want him to be part of this donations this time round and Mohammed Alie Sow couldn’t turn them down he agreed to go with them the next day.

When they arrive at the Village the next they did the donations his friends ask him for them to pass a night in the village unknownlly to Mohamed his friends are planning to perform a secrified to their Secret Society gods and Mohammed Alie Sow was at sleep when he wake up around 12:am to use the restroom he bump into them and run into his room according one of the secret Society members who spoke to the writer because of that the next morning his friends walk up to Mohammed Alie Sow and told him that he most be part of them because he have seen what they are doing last night and no body go Free for seeing such and Mohamed said reply to them that he cannot be part of ungodly act and he cannot join any secret society.

After Mohamed and his friends return back to Makeni things started going more scary for Mohamed as his friends keep coming to his business place to remind him that he most accept to join before is too late for him or he will face the full conceconces of what he did in the village.
One night, he heard voices outside the house. Upon opening the door, a group of young men descended on him, and was capture and wanted to taken away by the group of young men.

Foday Sesay (not his real name for security reasons), a resident in the neighborhood, informed this medium that he saw the men overpower Mohammed Alie Sow from his window and wanted to took him away into the night. He furthered that he had him crying as they were seriously beating him with all kinds of sticks, information went around the area that some youths want to take Mohammed Alie Sow for initiation by the secret society members and they all jump through the windows and run away and Mohammed Alie Sow was on the ground lifeless untill people around came and took him away to for first Aid treatment his Mother added.

Since it is a men secret society, women were not allowed to ask questions or even intimate that they witnessed what happened, as it will fetch a penalty of a deadly curse on the women and family.

Another youth (name withheld for his security), who is a member of the society, informed this medium that the society members will keep coming till Mohammed Alie Sow accept to join or be one of them after few weeks Mohammed Alie Sow was no longer allowed to open business or sell his shop was vandalized during the night hours and items Worth over millions of Leones were taken and after all this setback Mohammed Alie Sow decided to leave the country for the safety of his life according to close source.

After that effort proved futile, they then warned family members that if they hide him they will have to pay dearly with their lives, as Mohammed Alie Sow had seen what they do in their sacred shrine and should not go free.
He should, at all cost, be initiated or face death, if he refuses.

Family members spoken to say that since the attack and beaten of Mohamed by the secret society members, they have not been able to set eyes on him, nor do they know of his whereabouts.
They only heard of his escape when the members came back to look for him, after Four (4) days.

When asked why the matter was not reported to the police, they furthered that almost all the officers and the elders in the town are aware of such initiations, and a good number of them are members, as a result they will do nothing, except promises to look for him.

Family members say that on several occasions, the society members had visited their home and issued threats against them, including threats to kill Mohammed Alie Sow when found.
In many parts of the country, initiation into secret societies is sanctioned by tradition, and elders cooperate fully. Women do not have a say on such matters, as they too have their own secret societies.

Whilst members of such societies claim that this system is their rite of passage to manhood, their rituals often result in deaths of some of the recruits, due to the inhumane traditional practices meted out on the initiates, as a result, a lot of young men avoid being conscripted for initiation. This inhumane traditional practice has not been largely condemned by the government, and there is outright denial that such things do not happen, even in the cases of women secret societies, where the FGM is practiced.

As we go to press, the whereabouts of Mohammed Alie Sow is still unknown and the search for him by the secret society continues unabated.
