Osman Jalloh escape forceful initiation and death treath
A thorough investigation conducted by Voice of Salone Newspaper revealed that on 15th March, 2023 some Police officers Stormed and disrupted a house party organized by homosexual group known as LGBT commonly called Kings and Queens club which took place at the Beach Bar club in Freetown.
According to our findings, when the police stormed the scene based on a tipped-off that some homosexual members were organizing as how to propagate homosexuality, and upon arrival at the scene the Police had to arrest five(5) of the homosexual members who are believed to be the organizers of the show.
It was understood that after the arrest of those homosexual members, and on their way to the police station, the vehicle was trapped in traffic thus giving way for the arrestees to jump and escaped from the vehicle.
Among the homosexual members that escaped and presently on the run are Victor Lius, Osman Jalloh, Aruna Sesay, Patrick Brown, and Michael Cole.
in Sierra Leone, Homosexuality is not accepted unlike other countries like USA and other European Countries.
According to the law of Sierra Leone, Homosexuality is a taboo as it has been frowned at as ungodly act hence the reason when someone is caught in the act he/she faces the law.
One of the escapees, Osman Jalloh had to return to his Fathers village to seek refuge and few months later he lost his father on May 25th 2023 who was one of the founding members of the Poro Society in his village. Poro Society is one of the most deadliest societies in part of the country in the Northern part of the country, Kambia worreh Village, in Lokomasama Chiefdom Port Loko District, Sierra Leone.
After the demise of Osman father, the society members confronted Osman to join them, but he refused and in the interim they tried to forcefully initiated him into the Poro Society by taking him away to their society bush. Few days later, Osman manage to escaped from the society bush and gone into hiding, according to our source it was said one of the members of the secret society help him to escape.
Family Members say that on several occasions the society members had visited their house and issued threatening remarks to kill Osman Jalloh whenever he is found.
In many parts of the country, initiation into secret society is sanctioned by tradition, and elders cooperate fully.
Women do not have much to say on such matters, as they too have their own secret societies.
Whilst members of those societies are claiming that it is their rites of passage to manhood, but it is evident that the rituals performed in those societies often resulted in deaths of some of the recruits.
Due to this inhumane traditional practices meted out on the initiates, a lot of young men refused to be conscripted into society.
However, this inhumane traditional practices has not been largely condemned by the government, and there is outright denial that such things do not happen, even in the case of women secret societies, where FGM is practiced.
As we go to press, the whereabouts of Osman Jalloh is still unknown and the search for him by the secret society continues unabated.
