As a senior lecturer at the Milton Margai Technical University (MMTU), Hassan Sesay has mentored many students, now holding top jobs in the Financial sector of the country, with many working as Accountants in reputable institutions like the top Banks in the country, others working in the revenue generating institution of Sierra Leone, the National Revenue Authority (NRA), while others in international organizations, doing very well, like Mohamed Kamara; working at the Ministry of Finance, Alusine Kallon; working at Finance Department at the National Revenue Authority; Salamatu Dumbuya; working at the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, and Eleanor Bangura; working at Africell, to name but a few. These, today, are contributing to the development of the nation.

He holds a Masters’ Degree in According and Finance from Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone, Bsc in Accounting and Finance (FBC), Higher Diploma and National Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Milton Margai Technical University (then Milton Margai College of Education and Technology), various certificates from various academic institutions like, BlueCrest College, certificate of Training in Computer software and Microsoft office, Certificate in Business Studies from MMCET, etc.
Hassan Sesay’s pursuit of academic excellence has not stopped him from making lasting impact on those he encountered. Rising from ranks as associate lecturer to Head of Department of the Accounting and Finance Department in the faculty of Business and Management Studies at MMTU, he was in charge of developing course materials for the curriculum of the department, and assessed performance of both lecturers and students.
