Former Makarie Regent Chief Undermines Bio’s ‘Feed Salone’ Agenda

Hundreds of women farmers from Mayobo, Moria, Makaray and Makarie communities on Monday 26th August, 2024, protested  in front of the residence of PC Bai Makarie N’kolo, against the wanton destruction of their rice farms by cows, confirmed to be owned by former Regent Chief of Makarie Chiefdom, Ibrahim Dawoh.

The protesting women farmers claimed that Dawoh let loose his cows to destroy their livelihood and by extension President Bio’s ‘Feed Salone’ agenda.

Responding to the protesting farmers, PC Bai Makarie N’kolo II urged the protesters to be calm and believe in the rule of law.

He made several attempts to reach out to Ibrahim Dawoh to report to his palace and respond to the protesters claims, but no avail.

Dawoh is quoted to have boosted to walk away with whatever destruction his cattles may have caused.

The protesters have vowed to strip themselves naked should the concerned authorities fail to take action.
